[] ADJUSTING THE PICTURE QUALITY

1 Press the PADJ button during playback

Use the <1 and I_ cursor buttons to select the

picture memory, then press the ENTER button

• The display switches as follows:

STD (STANDARD} <_ M1 (MEMORY 1) _ M2

STD (Factory default)

Picture quality settings you have adiusted can

ADJUST MODE _

• The contrast , brightness , sharpness and

color/HUE/can be adiusted

• Perform steps 4 and 5 to adiust the picture

quality (ADJUST MODE}¸

GAMMA (-6 ~ +6)

• Select this if dark portions of the picture are

too dark or bright portions are too bright¸

• PeEform steps 7 and 8 to adiust the gamma

correction (GAMMA/

Press the • cursor butto_ to select the adjust

mode, then use the _1 and Ib cursor buttons to

select the mage quality adjustment item

CONTRAST _ (-6 ~ +6)

Adjusts the contrast of the image

BRIGHTNESS _ (0 ~ +12}

Adjusts the picture's brightness

SHARPNESS 1_[_2_(-6 ~ +6}

Adjusts the sharpness of the picture

HUE _ (-6~+6)

Adjusts the balance of the green a_ld red (This

does not affect Progressive Scan images)

Use the • and • cursor buttons to set the

adjustment value

Press the ENTER button

• All the adiustme_ts are stored in the memory

Use the <1 a_d Ib cursor buttons to select the

point to be set

Use the • and • cursor buttons to adiust the

brightness level of the selected point

(See "Reference" on page 25)

• The level decreases {the picture gets darker}
